Project
The container for a story’s characters, locations, objects, plots, scenes, notes, settings and derived views.
Story elements
Characters, locations, objects, plots and notes are the reusable pieces that scenes connect. Tags and groups help you browse them without changing the story’s meaning.
Scene
A story moment with a position, optional dates, point of view, participants, location, goal, conflict, outcome and plot assignments.
Private and collaborative storage
| Mode | Where it is edited | Synchronization |
|---|---|---|
| Private | Apple app | Local storage, with optional iCloud mirroring |
| Collaborative | Apple app and web app | Shared backend with roles and permissions |
AI-assisted features
AI can generate or summarize material, surface coherence observations and answer grounded questions where the selected feature, plan and platform support it. Suggestions are not editorial decisions, and cloud actions send the content needed to perform them.
Platform boundaries
- Apple app: private projects, iCloud sync, native story planning and PDF export.
- Web app: collaborative projects, browser editing, document import, statistics and Ask Your Story.
- Cloud features: optional and subject to access, quota, network and service availability.
Labels and availability can change with a WriCo release. When the app differs from this article, use the visible product label and contact support with the version number.
